Slide 0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} The Building 1883 The vision of having an interdenominational church at the center of the Farmer community seems to have come from a small group of people under the inspiration of a retired Presbyterian minister, Reverend. S. S. Hyde. Reading from the minutes of "The Citizens Religious Society of Farmer Center" we discover that "This evening the citizens of Farmer and vicinity met at Allen’s Hall upon a call previously issued… to form a society to build a church. Said church to be for the free use of all denominations." The date was July 9, 1883. On January 12, 1890, the Society dedicated a completed brick building! The plans were then set into motion to build on the property. On April 6, 1952, the new Annex of the church was dedicated.
